It looks like the Clooneys could be settling in New York more permanently with George gearing up to film his next movie, Money Monsters, with Julia Roberts and Amal now adding human rights professor to her already-extensive résumé.

George and Amal couldn’t have looked happier as they were spotted smiling and laughingon a romantic dinner date together at ritzy Japanese restaurant Kappo Masa in New York’s Upper East Side.

The couple had good reason to celebrate too as Amal was confirmed to be joining the staff at the highly exclusive Columbia University, with a  coveted position at the Law School’s Human Rights Institute as a visiting faculty member and senior fellow.

“It is an honour to be invited as a visiting professor at Columbia Law School alongside such a distinguished faculty and talented student pool,” Amal said in an official statement.

“I look forward to getting to know the next generation of human rights advocates studying here.”

Despite already having established a beautiful home in the UK, it looks like Amal and George will be in New York for some time, with both their jobs seeing them firmly placed there for the foreseeable future.

The couple, who married in Venice less than a year ago, are taking the big apple by storm.
