We canโt quite believe that itโs been two years since George Clooney hung up his bachelor hat for good, but the actor and his wife Amal have just celebrated their second anniversary โ and probably not how youโd imagine.
The high-flying couple shunned fancy restaurants and overseas trips in favour of something far more down to earth.
The actor told E! News that he cooked a romantic dinner for his wife on the day of their anniversary; September 27.
โItโs very big news. Very, very big celebration โ fireworks,โ he joked, before admitting, โOkay, I made dinner.โ
But before you go thinking that heโs the perfect man, George admitted he doesnโt always nail it when heโs in the kitchen.
โI donโt think sheโs ever quite impressed with my cooking,โ he said. โIf I slap something together โ spaghetti and meatballs โ she doesnโt know that it comes in a jar, so I can just fool her with that one.โ

In another chat with ET, George shed more light on their big milestone. โAnd they said it wouldnโt last. Ah, we proved them wrong,โ he teased.
โWe mostly drank. I made dinner and we had a very romantic second anniversary. Very civilised.โ
George, who for many years was the first to admit that he never intended to marry again, broke hearts the world over when his engagement to the human rights lawyer was announced.

George and Amal make the perfect couple.
But one look at the happy couple and itโs easy to see how much they adore each other.
He recently spoke candidly about his respect for his hard-working wife, saying: โOf course Iโm proud of her. Yeah, it comes with risk. I think Amalโs decision to [represent Nadia, a woman who was sold as a slave to ISIS] was, of course, heroic.โ
