The couple were arrested at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney on Saturday, Nine News reports.

A police spokesperson said a 35-year-old old man and his 30-year-old wife were allegedly found to be “in possession of a small quantity of white powder believed to be cocaine”.

Police officers at the event were directed to a suite in the grandstand by security personnel.

The police spent some time speaking to Geoff and Sara, who were then escorted from the Moet & Chandon lounge.

A source at the event told The Sydney Morning Herald that dozens of police were monitoring the private suites stopping people as they came out of bathrooms.

“They were everywhere, outside every door,” the source said.

Each was given a field court attendance notice for the offence of possessing a prohibited drug and given a notice to appear in court on May 14.

The pair had earlier shared pictures of themselves on social media “enjoying the day” in the Moet suites at Randwick.
