It was one of the most high-profile marriage break-ups of 2015, but Gavin Rossdale says it’s finally time to “move on.”

In an interview with the Sunday Times Style magazine, the Bush frontman said he wants to put his break-up from ex-wife Gwen Stefani in the past.

“It’s, like, enough already. I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on,” he said, before adding his three sons with Gwen are the most important thing.

“For me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritise them. That’s the driving force behind everything. You just have to… I don’t know. Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen.”

The pair, who split last August amid rumours Gavin was unfaithful, share custody of their children Kingston, 10, Zuma, eight, and Apollo, two.

They married in 2002 in a lavish ceremony in London and appeared to have one of the happiest marriages in Hollywood.

Gwen and Gavin split in 2015.

But it all came crashing down when reports surfaced linking Gavin to the family’s 24 year-old nanny, Mindy Mann.

The pair have mostly stayed tight-lipped about the scandal, but Gwen did open up on the effect the marriage breakdown had on her in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s August issue.

“It was the beginning of hell,” she told the fashion mag. “Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret.”

The No Doubt singer has been in a relationship with country music star Blake Shelton since November last year. The pair met when they both worked as judges on The Voice US together.

Now, Gavin is taking a leaf out of his ex and new beau’s book, by signing up to star on The Voice UK.

“I’m so thrilled to be joining,” he said in a statement when the news first broke.

“I’ve always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can’t wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.”

Gwen and Blake have been together for almost a year.

However, he is insistent that despite his new gig, his sons will remain his main priority.

“They’re the guys – they’re my replacements. The better versions of me. I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that.”
