A savage Russian reality TV show which will allow “fighting, murder and rape” will see 30 people battle it out in the Siberian wilderness for a nine-month survival test.
According to The Sun, Game2: Winter will be set in terrain which boasts sub-zero temperatures, as well as bears, wolves and it will be a show where the rules bluntly state, “everything is allowed: Fighting, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything.”
But one of its producers, Yevgeny Pyatkovsky, bragged that the “extreme” show will not be responsible if contestants choose to engage in that behaviour.
“We will refuse any claim of participants even if they were to be killed or raped,” the 35-year-old IT millionaire said.
“We will have nothing to do with this. This will be spelled out in a document to be signed by the participant before the start of the show.”
The contest will see men and women from all different countries dropped into remote Siberia with knives and they will have to hunt to stay alive in order to compete for a £1.3 million prize (AUD$1.8 million).
Footage will be screened online 24/7 using footage from 2,000 cameras fixed in the boreal forest and will be translated into several different languages.
“There will be no doctors with the participants. If someone gets sick, wounded and realise that he/she cannot pass the test, the helicopter will take him/her away to the doctors. Then the participant will quit the game forever,” said Mr Pyatkovsky.
Russian criminal laws will still apply so if police can “come and take you away” if they suspect something.
Critics say that the show is encouraging brutality, many linking it to the fictional Hunger Games where contestants had to kill each other to win.
“Yevgeny Pyatkovsky you not only have no brains but lack any moral compass,” said one commentator on Twitter.
