Following the shocking incident, which saw the 19-year-old face and hair light up in flames after he got too close to the pyrotechnics, the Sydney local said he is on the road to recovery and will be back on the stage for their next show.
“Feeling loads better and my face is fine 🙂 excited for the show tonight,” he tweeted to his some 5.12 million followers.
Before adding: “There’s been a lot of love spread around lately, thank you all so much 🙂 all of us boys appreciate everything you do!”
Michael also posted a selfie which showed his injured face covered in a bandage. “What the f***s up. sorry I couldnt finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. thanks for worrying every1 x,” he captioned the snap.
However the teenager wasn’t too keen about unveiling his injuries and requested concert goers not take his photo.
“If I obviously don’t want to have my picture taken right now please don’t take my picture 🙂 see everyone tomorrow!!”
