Five Minutes with Jess Hart

As the Aussie beauty embarks on a new business venture, Jess Hart opens up about her favourite beauty looks and sister, Ashley.

1.What inspired you to create this range?

Women are most beautiful when they’re in their natural form. I believe a woman looks her most beautiful when she enhances her natural features, so my aim was to create a range that does exactly that.

2.What is the quintessential Jess Hart Luma beauty look?

For a daytime look, I’ll apply my Tinted Moisturiser, Illuminating Highlighter on my cheekbones and a Nude Shimmer lipstick. At night, I still like to keep it quite simple, I’ll just add my Fawn and Taupe Eyeshadow, and I love to use Ebony Brown Mascara as it compliments blue eyes.

3.As someone who is on the move so often, what are your must-have beauty items in makeup bag- any brand?

I always carry my Dr. Haushka hand creme, my LUMA Cosmetics Illuminating Highlighter and LUMA Sheer Lipstick in Nude Shimmer, Paul Frank and Co Spray Dust and Nip Fab Deep Cleansing Fix Pads.

4.Do you have any icons in business and fashion you look up to?

My sister, Ashley. I admire her whole attitude on life and her confidence within herself. Also, Dianne Von Furstenberg, she’s an incredible, strong woman who’s built an empire. I know her well now and I love her attitude towards everything and everyone, she’s a really gorgeous person. I think that’s something to aspire to, to build a brand on being a good person.

5.Favourite holiday destination?

Bronzed Skin & Nude Lip

Luminescent subtle contouring with Luma Bronzer on the cheeks and illuminating highlighter on cheekbone. Use brown eye liner for subtle definition and taupe eyeshadow to contour eye lid, creating a more defined socket.

TIP: Apply a liquid illuminator to the cheek bones followed by your foundation for that dewy glow.

A pop of pink

This look is chic with fresh skin and a light dusting of bronzer on the cheeks. Pick your favourite shade of pink (Jess wears Pink Hope lipstick from Luma) for your lips and use rose gold shimmer to wash over eyelid. Finish of the look with a light coat of Jet black mascara for definition.

TIP: Mix two shades of lipstick to create a more vibrant colour
