The first trailer for HBO’s documentary about Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher has landed.
It’s called ‘Bright Lights’ and it puts the iconic duo’s relationship on full display. Tragically, it’s now a fitting tribute to the late mother and daughter.
The trailer is heartbreakingly charming, funny and intimate.
“Mummy, I’m home!” Fisher calls out in the opening moments of the teaser.
The film was shot while Fisher was rehearsing for the most recent Star Wars, and shows the two women speak about aging, depression and most of all, their bond as mother and daughter.
It was originally slated for release in March but was given an earlier date after the untimely passing of both Reynolds and Fisher.
It premieres January 7 on HBO.
Something tells us we’ll need a box of tissues ready for this one.
