Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama was born January 17, 1964. While she is primarily known for a strong force behind her husband, the 44th and current US president, Barack Obama, she has championed causes and has achieved success in her own right.
A Princeton and Harvard educated lawyer, Michelle started her career in 1988 at a Chicago law , where she met Barack. The couple wed four years later.
The First Lady dedicates her time and influence to highlighting social issues, with a particular focus on youth health and nutrition.
