It appears a cherubic little baby bundle called Beatrix Belle Box (Trixie for short) has not just placed her radio presenter mother Fifi Box “in a love bubble”, but the entire nation as well. Australia has got behind 36-year-old single mum Fifi, cheering her on through her surprise pregnancy, the revelation the baby’s daddy is former ironman Grant Kenny and, now, Trixie’s safe and happy arrival.

Trixie came into the world at 2.30pm on Friday, April 5, a little earlier than expected, with her mother keen to share her happy news with her fans. Ringing in to Hamish and Andy’s post-Logies broadcast, Fifi gushed, “I had a baby!” to roars from the crowd. “It’s a little girl! A little ray of sunshine.”

Fifi was quick to thank the public: “You’ve all given me so much love and support, and I just want to say that to everyone listening. “I’ve been absolutely flooded with messages and cards and wishes, on Twitter, on our Facebook page, it’s just been so overwhelming. “I lie with her in my arms 24/7… I cannot put her down, she’s so beautiful,” she added.

“We’re in this little love bubble!” Announcing her baby’s name on Austereo’s Today Network days later to great mate Jules Lund and her on-air replacement Sophie Monk, Fifi admitted she had hoped all along she was having a girl and also considered Coco, Lulu, Gigi and Fifi as names. But deciding on Trixie wasn’t easy.
