Meet the wives and girlfriends of the 2023 Formula 1 grid

Max Verstappen

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has been in a relationship with Brazilian model Kelly Piquet since late 2021.

Verstappen fans feared that the couple had called it quits after Piquet reportedly took down a highlight dedicated to Max from her Instagram in June 2023 however, she was quick to put any rumours to rest as she took to social media to gush over Max’s performance at the Montreal Grand Prix.

Piquet is the daughter of three-time Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet. Kelly shares daughter Penelope with former Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat, with the former couple dating between 2017-2019.

Sergio Perez

Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez has been married to wife Carola Martinez since 2018. Although it is not known exactly how long the couple have been together, Checo first announced their relationship in mid-2017 prior to their first child’s arrival.

The couple share three children together – Sergio Jr., Carlota, and Emilio.

Lewis Hamilton

7-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been recently romantically linked to pop singer Shakira.

Rumours surrounding the potential couple first began to circulate in the lead up to the Spanish Grand Prix, with the singer also appearing at both the Miami and British Grand Prix.

Hamilton has also been previously linked to a star-studded list of women, including Rita Ora, Kendall Jenner, and Nicki Minaj.

The Mercedes star’s last public relationship was with The Pussycat Dolls’ front-woman Nicole Scherzinger, with the couple dating from 2008-2015.

George Russell

Mercedes’ George Russell has been in a relationship with Carmen Montero Mundt since 2020.

Mundt, who works in investor relations, previously revealed on social media that the couple met through a mutual friend in London. Carmen and George are frequently spotted together in the F1 paddock, with Mundt appearing alongside George’s family at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

Lando Norris

Lando Norris is reported to be one of the few single drivers on the 2023 grid.

Norris was previously in a relationship with Portuguese model Luisinha Oliveria, with the couple dating for eight months in 2022.

The fan-favourite F1 couple announced their split via Instagram in December of 2022.

“After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our relationship but remain good friends. I wish her the world and have so much respect for her and all she does as an amazing and strong woman with nothing but kindness,” wrote Norris.

Oscar Piastri

McLaren rookie Oscar Piastri is currently in a relationship with his long-term girlfriend Lily Zneimer.

In an interview with 9News, Piastri confirmed that the couple have been together for over four years as of July 2023.

The couple made their debut on Piastri’s Instagram in early 2022 and have since appeared together in promotional content for the 2023 Australian Grand Prix and at the 2023 Wimbledon Tennis Championship.

Charles Leclerc

Ferrari favourite Charles Leclerc recently debuted his relationship with fellow Monegasque Alexandra Saint Mleux at the 2023 Wimbledon Tennis Championship.

Speculation surrounding Leclerc’s potential romance began to surface in early May 2023, with rumours of a new paddock romance reaching their peak following Mleux’s appearance in the Ferrari garage at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Charles was previously in a long-term relationship with Charlotte Sine. The couple announced they had parted ways after three years together in December 2022.

“We have shared so many great moments and she is and always will be a very special person to me. She is amazing and deserves the best,” Leclerc wrote.

Carlos Sainz

Spanish driver Carlos Sainz has been recently linked to Scottish model Rebecca Donaldson. Rumours surrounding their romance surfaced following a Twitter video that showed the potential couple out and about together in Milan.

Although their split has not been officially confirmed by both parties, Sainz’s girlfriend of six years Isa Hernaez reportedly confirmed the couple’s split – telling Hola! “I’ll keep the good, of course, always. I wish him all the best.”

Donaldson was previously in a relationship with Kourtney Kardashian’s long-term partner Scott Disick.

Fernando Alonso

Following his breakup from long-term girlfriend Andrea Schlager in April 2023, Fernando Alonso has recently been linked to F1 commentator Melissa Jiminez.

In early 2023, some fans also speculated that a romance was blossoming between Alonso and pop singer Taylor Swift. Alonso took the rumours all in good humour, with the Aston Martin driver sharing Swift’s music frequently to

Instagram.

Alonso was previously married to Spanish singer Raquel de Rosario from 2006-2011.

Lance Stroll

Lance Stroll is currently in a relationship with Italian model Sara Pagliaroli.

The couple made their debut in 2021 at the London premiere of No Time to Die.

Although there has been no confirmation from either party, some fans believe that Lance and Sara may have split following comments from renowned F1 paddock photographer Kym Ilman on social media claiming that the couple had parted ways.

Williams driver Alex Albon and LPGA Tour golfer Muni ‘Lily’ He have been together since 2019.

The couple are well known for their joint-social media presence, with both frequently sharing a number of adorable photos from their travels around the F1 calendar.

Williams rookie Logan Sargeant is currently single.

The grid’s only American driver has previously been linked by fans to Oscar Piastri’s long-term girlfriend, however, information surrounding their rumoured relationship is highly speculative.

Daniel Ricciardo

Australian fan-favourite Daniel Ricciardo is currently in a relationship with Heidi Berger.

Although there is little information about the specifics of their relationship timeline, it is believed that the pair have been together since 2019.

Heidi is the daughter of former Austrian Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger.

Yuki Tsunoda

Alpha Tauri’s Yuki Tsunoda has confirmed he is in a relationship however, the identity of his girlfriend remains unknown.

Tsunoda first mentioned his relationship status during a Twitch stream in 2022, stating that the couple had been together for two months at that point.

Pierre Gasly
