Married for almost two years, Guy Sebastian and wife Jules tell Warren Gibbs they’re more in love than ever.
Strolling barefoot along the white sandy beach, a toned and tanned Guy Sebastian and his wife Jules glow with happiness as they soak up the north Queensland sun in Toogoom, north of Hervey Bay.
Oblivious to the incoming King tide lapping at their feet and the swirling, salt-laden winds, the love-struck couple are in a world of their own, relaxing and unwinding at their beachside getaway they call utopia.
“It’s our paradise,” says Guy, 28, smiling. “It’s a place we both find invigorating, inspiring, peaceful and romantic.”
It’s light years from their fast-paced city lifestyle in Sydney and New York – and they’re even happier than when they started dating as teenagers 10 years ago. “Valentine’s Day is no different from any other day of the year – they’re all very special and we just try to make each one count,” explains Guy.
The Australian Idol winner, who’s two years his wife’s junior, says it’s the “little things” that keep their romance fresh and sexy – from a simple compliment on her dress to a gentle “I love you” the moment she wakes up. “Romance doesn’t have to be all about flowers and boxes of chocolates,” he says.
“There are so many other ways to make your partner feel extra special. I always tell Jules how much I love her and how sexy she looks.
“And Jules loves nothing more than a nice hot bath and a gentle, soapy back massage.
