Television and radio personality Erin Molan is notoriously private about her dating life, but she has revealed the mysterious Hollywood actor who “slid into her DMs” not long after her split.
In September 2021, Erin announced her shock break-up from fiancé Sean Ogilvy after being together for four years. Not long afterwards she revealed a celebrity had reached out, but she never gave a name… until now.
While speaking on 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin the young mum revealed she and the mystery man spoke on the phone for a long time and even exchanged advice on being a single parent.
Co-host Dave Hughes teased her abroad romance, he said: “Does she wait, or does she end up ghosting him? And does he end up in a very high profile relationship which made international headlines this week? Yes, is the answer.”
Erin revealed the mystery actor was Australian Prison Break star Dominic Purcell – who recently announced his new relationship with Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish.
“He was such a lovely guy, he was so beautiful … it wasn’t the right timing for me, it was too soon after my last relationship. But he was so beautiful and sweet, and he’s such a catch for Tish Cyrus,” Erin said.
“I’m so happy for them, because he’s genuinely one of the loveliest guys.”
She had also spoken to Dominic’s ex-girlfriend, actress AnnaLynne McCord over the phone and had nothing to say but praise.
“She spoke so incredibly highly of him as well – I thought, anyone whose ex speaks that highly of them … he’s an incredible human being,” she said.
The single life has been a challenging process for Erin, she previously admitting: “It has been fruitful, let’s say it has been fruitful.”
However, after roughly the dating field Erin went public with her boyfriend in May 2022 but it yet to reveal his identity.
“It’s really nice actually. I think anyone who’s been in a long-term relationship, when that ends – particularly if you’ve got kids – you kind of go through this stage where you don’t know if you’ll ever meet anyone again,” she said.
“But it’s lovely when you meet someone who makes you feel like you’re worthy and like you’re special and like you’re important. It’s a lovely thing and I’m very lucky.
