She was introduced to the world as 10-year-old Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, but Emma Watson proved she has well and truly outgrown her child star roots transforming into “one of Britain’s leading ladies” and accepting GQ magazine’s woman of the year award.
The 23-year-old actress wore a midriff-exposing ensemble on the Men of the Year Awards red carpet where she took out the ‘Woman’ category, looking every inch a sophisticated woman and a far cry from the child star she became known as during her decade Harry Potter career.
Emma isn’t the first child star to dramatically change her appearance. Here are some of our favourite then-and-now shots.
