Ellen Pompeo has taken to Instagram to give us all a glimpse into life after the birth of her third child and first boy, Eli Christopher.
The 47-year-old star uploaded a black and white video to Instagram on New Year’s Day alongside the caption, “Boy Crazy….Here’s to a year filled with happiness and love! Happy New Year.”
In the video, a make-up free Ellen can be seen dancing with precious Eli held close to her cheek as she sways to the track How Can You Mend A Broken Heart.
The beautiful video comes after a representative for the actress confirmed the arrival of baby Eli in the final days of 2016.
Speaking with Us Weekly the rep revealed that “family and baby are all doing great.”
While the notoriously private couple have decided not to reveal the baby’s measurements or weight they did share an adorable snap of Ellen’s husband, Chris Ivery, 49, cradling the newborn shortly after the announcement.
Revealing the baby’s sex, the too-cute-to-handle Instagram upload was captioned with, “Chris Ivery just fell a notch.. I’ve got a new guy.”
The photo also revealed that the couple have taken inspiration from dad Chris’ name, choosing the beautiful name Eli Christopher for their smiling baby.

Ellen and Chris, who wed in 2007, already share two precious daughters together – Stella Luna, 7, and Sienna May, 2. Ellen gave birth to Stella in 2009, while her second daughter was carried by a surrogate in 2014.
The birth of daughter Sienna wasn’t announced until two months after the fact to ensure the privacy of her surrogate.

In October 2014, the star opened up about the surrogacy process while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She said, “This is an incredible thing to do with your life, to give the gift of carrying someone’s child. I am forever grateful and feel very blessed and grateful to her — she who will remain anonymous.”
The Oldschool star added: “I was there with her when they inseminated her, and we held hands. I looked into the microscope and I saw the embryo.”
“I saw the baby, and they put it in a thingy, and they inseminated her. And then we held hands, and we prayed, we talked to God, and if she was meant to be. He said he was going to try to help us out, and now we have a gorgeous baby girl.”
