Congrats to the beautiful couple!

There’s no doubt that love is certainly in the air this year.

Another day means another engagement, and this time it was Ed Sheeran who got down on one knee and asked his longtime girlfriend Cherry Seaborn to marry him. Spoiler alert — she said yes! Looks like the “Perfect” singer has found his perfect match. Congratulations to them!

Ed took to Instagram to share the happy news with all his fans, though hearing he’s officially off the market isn’t the shocking part. What’s surprising is that the two were able to hide their engagement for the last couple of weeks.

In his post, Ed wrote, “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

Cue the awww’s, because that picture is just the sweetest. Aside from that adorable picture the “Shape of You” singer tried to distract us all with, he did reveal that the two got engaged just before 2018, meaning not only did fans not know but all of his friends were able to keep the news under wraps. Talk about being able to keep a secret.

Rumors of a possible engagement have always surrounded the couple. Just last year the “Castle on the Hill” singer had to clear up some speculation after actor Russell Crowe referred to Cherry as his fiancé. Not to mention there was even speculation that they secretly got married after the “Don’t” singer was spotted wearing a suspicious ring.

At the time the two weren’t ready to walk down the aisle, but they definitely are now. Just goes to show that things can change quite a bit in just a couple of months. Congratulations once again to Ed and Cherry. We have a feeling this news means his next album is going to be filled with even more lovey-dovey songs about his one and only.
