Dylan Alcott has achieved some great accolades this year alone from winning at Wimbledon to scoring a TV WEEK Logie Award.
And while he’s received plenty of support from his home country, the Aussie Paralympian has shared a letter on social media written and personally signed by a very prominent British royal congratulating him for his recent achievements.
“Pen pals with the Duke of Sussex himself – Prince Harry.. What an absolute legend #dukeandduchessofsussex #princeharry,” the Aussie athlete captioned his letter.
In the snap, the letter from the sixth in line to the throne is clearly visible and reads, “Dear Dylan, I wanted to pass on my congratulations for your recent win at Wimbledon and your most popular new talent award!“
“Thank you for the special contribution that you made to sharing the stories of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women on the Invictus Games Today show.”
The red-headed royal continued, “Your achievements are extraordinary, and the impact you have had in raising awareness and changing perceptions of disability is really inspiring.
“I wish you the very best of luck for the future, on-air and on-court!”
“All the best, Harry,” he signed off in his own handwriting.
“PS – I’m wondering if you wore your Invictus Games budgie smugglers on the big night to accept it? Mine have come in handy in this recent UK heatwave!”
Of course, Dylan’s post was inundated with messages of disbelief and congratulations from numerous Australian celebrities.
Mum-to-be Turia Pitt commented, “Pinch me moment!!” while Playing For Keeps star Olympia Valance penned, “This is ELITE!!!!!!!!”
Even the team at Budgy Smuggler commented their support saying, “How good. Mate, let Harry know we can do him a good deal on smugglers if he needs a fresh pair 😉All the best for US Open! 🤙🏽”

This isn’t the first royal experience Dylan has had by any means.
The tennis champ met both Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan during their 2018 Australia tour when they flew over for the Invictus Games and watched Harry try on his special pair of Invictus budgy smugglers.
At the time, Dylan shared a snap on his Instagram account of himself with the Duke of Sussex captioning it, “When you gift the Duke of Sussex a pair of budgie smugglers and the great man puts them on! Can’t thank @kensingtonroyal enough for the opportunity, the Duke was super giving, it was one of my most favourite conversations I’ve ever had.”
Following the birth of their son Archie in May, Dylan shared a throwback photo of himself meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex alongside then-opposition leader Bill Shorten and Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
“Yes. Ok. I will happily accept godfather duties @sussexroyal #royalbaby #godfatherdylan,” he cheekily captioned his post.
The tennis player first met Duchess Meghan at Wimbledon the year before shortly after her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
He also had the opportunity to chat with Duchess Catherine, who is royal patron of the All England Tennis Club and an avid player herself.
Captioning his pics he joked, “Dylan and the Duchesses @wimbledon #wimbledon #princedylan.”
