He’s the world’s highest-paid actor, and now Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, is also the Sexiest Man Alive for 2016.
People magazine say that it wasn’t just the star’s good looks that won him the coveted title; it was his big heart too.
The 44-year-old former WWE wrestler was pretty excited to be awarded the honour.
He told People what his immediate reaction was when he found out he was to be crowned the hottie of all hotties.

Dwayne says he’s reached the top now.
“I said, ‘That’s awesome,’” he told the publication.
“And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is. And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.'”
“I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”
Dwayne is currently doing the publicity rounds for his latest role as a voice actor in Disney’s new animated film Moana.

He says actually feeling good about himself in the looks department and being comfortable with who he was took “a lot of time.”
“I was doing a lot of things that I shouldn’t have. I was getting arrested multiple times… I was unsure of who I was and who I wanted to be,” he says.
Now he’s a family man, with girlfriend Lauren Hashian, their 11-month-old daughter Jasmine, his 15-year-old daughter Simone from a previous relationship.
“We just have this awesome family that is truly non-traditional but so rooted in love. And that’s such a cool thing,” he says. “I’m very proud of it.”

The actor has sure come a long way from being a 23-year-old with $7 in his pocket.
“I literally looked in my wallet and I had a five, a one and change,” he explained.
“So I rounded it up to seven. It was a real rock bottom for me and I didn’t know how defining or how meaningful seven bucks would be only until years later in my life,” he says.
Now he earns a cool $US65 million a year and is People‘s Sexiest Man Alive!
