As the face of big brands like L’Oréal and Tiffany and Co, the Dutch stunner was ranked as the fifth top earning model in the world in 2012 with an estimated $6.9 million for one year. But she says she wouldn’t want her kids to follow in her footsteps.
Doutzen is around seven months pregnant with a little girl and talked to the New York Post about her hopes for her daughter.
“Instead of saying, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ I’ll say, “You’re smart,’ so she’ll have different aspirations in life than beauty and modelling,” said the 29-year-old. “Though I love my job, I’m not changing the world. I’d love for her to study and to have different aspirations. We need to teach girls they can become presidents, and it’s not about beauty all the time.”
Doutzen Kroes this month modelling with her son Phyllon for HIV/AIDS charity campaign Born Free.
Kroes has been married to DJ, Sunnery Hames since November 2010 and the pair have a three-year-old son, Phyllon.
