After a few teaser clips here and there, the first official trailer for the live-action Beauty and the Beast is finally here!
The newest release from the studio is two minutes long and contains all the iconic scenes we love from the original cartoon version.
Featuring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast, the new clip shows us a first glimpse into the magical fairy tale castle and all its inhabitants.
The new trailer features the moment Belle first sees the foreboding castle, comes face to face with the Beast, as well the classic scene with Belle dancing in the ballroom with her captor turned lover in THAT yellow dress.
We’re introduced to all the talking castle objects such as Mrs Potts (Emma Thompson), Cogsworth (Ian McKellen) and Lumiere (Ewen McGregor).
Emma looks positively radiant in all the film’s stunning costumes and the chemistry between her and the Beast has us super excited to see their love story unfold.
And it seems there’s been an updated twist to the tale as old as time!
Rumour has it that it will be Belle, and not her father Maurice, who is the inventor in the family. Girl power!
We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for this one!
So how similar will the film be to the original cartoon we all loved? Check out this side-by-side comparison of the both the new and original teaser clip below.
