US actor Nicolas Cage is being sued for US$13 million ($13.8 million) by his child’s mother, Christina Fulton, who alleges the actor abused her physically, mentally and emotionally.
Christina, who is the mother of Nicolas’s 19-year-old son Weston, alleges the 46-year-old star threw her out of her home and wasted the best years of her life because she raised her son alone, E! Online reported.
Christina claims Nicolas didn’t share the parenting duties despite having joint legal and physical custody rights. Christina also says when the pair’s son turned 18 Nicolas removed Weston from his mother’s home, which Nicolas had purchased for them, and then sent her an eviction notice.
Currently facing financial issues of her own, Christina owes more than $1 million in taxes due to an error she blames on Nicolas’ ex-business manager, Sam Levin, who she is also suing. Nicolas recently settled his own multimillion-dollar lawsuit with Sam.
Christina has said that if they can’t to sort out their differences by January 15, 2011 he can expect to see her in court when the case begins on July 11, 2011.
