The new parents to baby Wyatt have been keeping us on our toes for months over their marital status, but British talk-show host James Corden decided it was time to get an answer on the matter.
Already making waves since taking over The Late Late Show hosting gig from Craig Ferguson, James came right out with it and asked Mila if she and Ashton were married. Her answer? “Maybe.”
Deciding “maybe” wasn’t sufficient, the host pushed the matter.
“You either got married or you haven’t got married,” James replied.
Then he asked to see her left hand, which was indeed sporting a band.
Deciding that was proof enough, he announced, “They got married, everybody!
“We’re going to turn this into a wedding party.”
The 31-year-old took it all in good humour, laughing with her fellow guest, Tom Hanks.
An insider close to Mila and Ashton revealed exclusively to US Magazine that the parents are not married, and Mila was simply “joking around” with James.
Ashton first sparked rumours of the marriage earlier this year when he posted a photo on Instagram of a message drawn in sand that read: “Happy New Year. Love, the Kutchers”.
It would appear everyone in Tinsletown wants to know the status of their marriage, with Ellen DeGeneres asking the actress if the New Year photo was proof enough, that they were married.
“I don’t know, I don’t know,” Mila responded.
“We could just be a plural. My daughter has his last name legally. So thus, there are multiple Kutchers. He has a brother.”
Despite Mila staying mum on the matter, she is very in love with her family telling Ellen, “He [Ashton] is an amazing dad. I wouldn’t have done this by myself. He is 100 per cent present.”
