Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have filed for divorce after eight years of marriage.
The announcement comes less than two months after Josh, 45, was arrested for public intoxication on New Year’s Eve.
A spokesman for the couple confirmed the split in a short statement to Us Weekly, insisting the pair remain friends.
“Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage,” the statement read.
“It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”
A source told the magazine Diane had moved out “a couple of months ago”. It is unclear whether Josh’s New Year outburst caused the break-up, or was a reaction to it.
Josh and Diane married in 2004. They don’t have any children.
It will be the second divorce for both. Diane was married to Christopher Lambert from 1988 to 1994 while Josh was married to Alice Adair for the same period.
