It’s been nine years since the bootylicious trio disbanded, but when they reunited again to sing together onstage, something was ignited and now in a change of destiny, the band are considering coming together for a ten year reunion.
But there is one hitch in their plan, Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles.
An insider revealed to the Daily Mail that Destiny’s Child want to rebrand without any involvement with their former manager.
“Although Destiny’s Child is made up of the three ladies, Beyoncé’s father and former manager Mathew Knowles owns one-fourth of the group as well. Anytime they do anything under the name Destiny’s Child, he has involvement in it and money from it,” a source close to the group revealed to the website.
Beyoncé has cut ties with her father after a range of discrepancies including stealing money from her and fathering two children as a result from an extramarital affair.
“It was claimed Mathew stole money from Beyoncé and then he sued to prove that he didn’t was bad enough. But all of the extramarital affairs and children outside the marriage just made it so that Beyoncé doesn’t have anything to do with her dad at all,” the source explained about the falling out.
Despite the drama, fans would be overjoyed over the prospect of the trio performing together – as would we!
The last time they were all seen performing on stage together was when Kelly and Michelle made a surprise appearance during
Beyoncé’s performance at the 2013 Superbowl halftime show.
