Itโs International Nurses Day, and while we are always grateful for the dedicated and hard work they do, more than ever we are appreciative of our incredible frontline workers as they show up to work day in, day out during the COVID-19 outbreak.
To commemorate the day and say thank you beloved Australian singer and The Voice coach, Delta Goodrem teamed up with the nurses at St Vincentโs Hospital to perform a rendition of her song, Together We Are One.
And, itโs a beautifully fitting choice.
โNurses are first in line to care for us and be our communicators & companions in crisis, critical thinkers and innovators. The heart of soul of the Hospitals, we thank you,โ Delta captioned the video.

โWhen people are in vulnerable states they look to you and you are the absolute angels of this earth and heroes. โ
We couldnโt have said it better ourselves.
Nobody knows the importance of nurses better than Delta herself, who at 18-years-old was diagnosed with Hodgkinโs lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system.

Reflecting on her diagnosis and battle Delta told WHO: โโIt was as if a bomb has gone off and you have to put all the pieces back together.โ
โMy body had just gone through a battle and it hurt. It took a much longer time to get back to the โyou can take on the worldโ feeling.โ
