Delta was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in the same year resulting in the need for strong treatment to ensure a successful recovery.
Delta arrives at the Four Seasons Hotel for St. Vincent’s Hospital cancer centre fundraiser gala dinner in Sydney 2004. She was treated at the centre when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease.
Delta has been involved in several high profile relationships including dating Australian tennis champion Mark Philippoussis. The couple are at the 46th TV Week Logie Awards in 2004.
Delta’s experience with Hodgkin’s Disease has inspired her to encourage research into a cure for cancer. Here she meets leukemia patient Hailey as she announced plans for the new $100 million Cancer Centre at the St Vincent’s Research Precinct of St Vincent’s Hospital in October, 2008 in Sydney. Delta is the Patron of the Centre.
Delta’s relationship with Ex-Westlife member Brian McFadden had controversial beginnings. McFadden’s first wife Kerry Katona, who he married in 2002, is mum to his 2 daughters however they split in 2004. Negative press suggested Goodrem was part of the reason of the divorce. Nonetheless, Goodrem and McFadden remained together and are now engaged. Here, they attend the inaugural MTV Australia Video Music Awards in Sydney 2005.
