Radio and TV presenter Deborah Knight has posted a confronting photo that has acted as a stark warning to her Instagram followers.
In April 2021, the A Current Affair host revealed that she was fighting skin cancer, telling her listeners of her afternoon radio show on 2GB that a bump on her nose has been identified as skin cancer.
Now, almost two years on from her diagnosis, Deb is still getting potentially cancerous tissue removed, as she has taken to Instagram to show her followers the aftermath, whilst reminding them to be sun-safe to avoid also being inflicted with the painful looking welts.
The 50-year-old told her followers that the welts, which are also on her hands and legs, are harmless.
However what wasn’t harmless was the bump on her nose that she had checked two years prior, explaining at the time that her dermatologist had flagged the bump as potential cancer.
“I got my results from the bioscopy on the bump on my nose that my dermatologist was worried about,” Deb began.
“…well it’s not the best news. It is a small basal cell carcinoma.
“So, it’s a small cancer and it’s nodular which means I’ve got to get it cut out. I’ve got to go under the knife.”
Deb posted this in May 2021, after getting the cancer cut out of her nose. She captioned it, “Can you spot the plaster on my nose? How good are the makeup fairies! Thanks to @jobursill for working her magic on my still healing schnoz after having surgery to remove a bcc.”

“I know we’re always being reminded to get our skin checked regularly and to wear sunscreen to cover up when we’re in the sun, but is so important and I just want to be a living reminder to that.”
