New reports have emerged revealing that Debbie Reynolds has been rushed to hospital one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher's death.

The Hollywood mother-daughter duo had an infamously fraught relationship, though the pair had mended the rift and were close at the time of Carrie's death.

TMZ claim that the 84-year-old actress has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after suffering a possible stroke.

The beloved actress is believed to have been at her son, Todd’s Beverley Hills home on Wednesday afternoon, making arrangements for her daughter’s funeral, when she had the health attack.

The news comes less than a day after Debbie’s daughter Carrie Fisher passed away from a heart attack.

The 60-year-old actress was on a 11 hour flight from London to LA on Friday when she went into cardiac arrest.

Reports about the Star Wars actress’ mother indicate that she suffered the health scare at about 1pm.

Someone within the Fisher household notified emergency services, with Debbie being transported to a nearby hospital.

E! News are reporting that the acting legend was in a “fair to serious condition”.

Earlier that afternoon Todd was thinking of his late sister, taking to Twitter to post a flashback of his family.

Debbie, 84, took to Facebook to address her daughter’s passing.

“Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter,” she penned.

“I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop.”

The Hollywood mother-daughter duo had an infamously fraught relationship, though the pair had mended the rift and were close at the time of Carrie’s death.

The pair’s relationship was brought to the silver screen in 1990 film Postcards from the Edge, which was based on Carrie’s 1987 semi-autobiographical novel of the same name.

Meryl Streep stepped into Carrie’s character, while Shirley MacLaine portrayed her mother.

Both Carrie and Debbie have been incredibly open about their unique bond.

The duo sat down with Oprah for a joint interview back in 2011.

“It’s very hard when your child doesn’t want to talk to you and you want to talk to them, and you want to touch them, you want to hold them,” Debbie mused to the talk show queen.

“It was a total estrangement. She didn’t talk to me for probably 10 years. So that was the most difficult time of all. Very painful, very heartbreaking.”

The starlet, who was born in 1932, also spoke of Carrie’s well documented mental health struggles.

“There have been a few times when I thought I was going to lose Carrie. I’ve had to walk through a lot of my tears. but she’s worth it.”
