David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn has just celebrated his 16th birthday!
The football legend couldn’t be prouder of his son, sharing two stunning photos on Facebook. One was a recent snap of David embracing Brooklyn and the other was throwback, where his son was just a toddler.
“Happy Birthday to my big boy xx,” David captioned the images.
The throwback photo was taken back in 2000, when Brooklyn was only 14-months-old. It was snapped after David’s Manchester United team won the championship, and a young Brooklyn was clearly in on the celebrations as he wore his father’s medal around his neck, the accolade sweetly trailing around his knees.
The 16-year-old’s birthday has been off to a good start, after he received a pair of Yeezy shoes from Kanye West.
Brooklyn shared a photo of the lavish gift, thanking Kanye on Instagram.
“Thanks Kanye for the Yeezys,” Brooklyn wrote.
Earlier this year, David had revealed that his son wanted have two separate celebrations.
“I think [Brooklyn] wants to go for a dinner with his friends and he’ll have a separate dinner with his family,” David said.
David credits his son, revealing that he and Victoria “try to lead by example, by showing them it’s important to work hard”.
The football legend opened up to Huffington Post about what it is like raising four kids in the spotlight.
“That’s one of the key things me and my wife have always done, [both] before we had children, and now [that] we have four children,” David said.
“We juggle everything around the family because our main priority is the children, simple as that, and it always will be, but being hardworking is the best thing you can show children.”
