According to the BBC, police would not confirm if the football star was involved in the crash that occurred in Hertfordshire, England on Saturday, Nov. 29 but said a grey Audi RS6 had collided with a silver Mitsubishi Colt.
The accident reportedly occurred after the ex-England captain picked up his 15-year-old son Brooklyn from his game at Arsenal’s training ground.
While police said that the male driver of the Audi was slightly injured nothing further was offered about the woman, believed to be the Mitsubishi driver, who was reportedly taken to hospital.
The UK’s Telegraph reports that no one was seriously hurt in the crash but both David and Brooklyn were both left rattled after the incident.
“They were shaken. It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed but everybody walked away uninjured,” a source tells The Telegraph. “Everybody’s fine. Thankfully the car’s airbags deployed.”
One of Brooklyn’s football opponents, Thomas Cadman who plays for Brighton under-16s, allegedly witnessed the accident.
“Weird to play against Brooklyn Beckham earlier,” Thomas tweeted Saturday. “Even weirder to be currently stuck behind David Beckham as he has crashed his car.”
The 39-year-old and his eldest son were also involved in another car accident in October 2013 when their black Range Rover had a prang with another vehicle while pulling out of the family’s Beverly Hills driveway.
