Good morning to 1999 Dan MacPherson and 1999 Dan MacPherson, only.
The 41-year-old delighted fans this morning with quite the throwback photo to his 19-year-old self on what appears to be a surf-orientated photo shoot.
The epitome of a 90s surfer dude, Dan’s sporting blond highlights and a barely-recognisable-to-the-eye nipple ring.
It’s almost too much for us to handle at this time of the morning.
“#TBT. 1999, Bali. Blonde streaks. Nipple piercing. Thumb ring. You’re welcome 😜😭 Cc: @kookoftheday 📸 @sergethomann,” Dan captioned the post.
The actor would have been in the midst of his Neighbours era where he played Ramsay Street local Joel Samuels.
His character left quite the impression on fans, including one royal family member: The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
“A couple of years ago Prince William had a state visit to Sydney and I was emceeing at an event he attended. He remembered me and before it started said, ‘I used to watch you on Neighbours,'” Dan told the Daily Telegraph.
“So I got up to emcee, wearing some very tight, black skinny jeans. And His Royal Highness heckled me from the crowd about my skinny jeans! Yeah, I got heckled by royalty.”
Dan played the Erinsborough heartthrob for four years until 2002 before going on to star in huge series such as City Homicide, Bad Mothers, Strike Back and Wild Boys where he met now ex-wife, Zoe Ventoura.
Dan and Zoe, who share one-year-old son Austin, shocked fans by officially announcing their break-up after five years of marriage late last year.
