Adding ‘social media superstar’ to her already shining resume is Dame Helen Mirren.
The 71-year-old joined Instagram two weeks ago but her presence has only just been widely recognised by users.
She posted a series of selfies, her inimitable wit apparent in many of the captions.
Many users are joking they didn’t know how they lived without her and one said Helen’s selfies are “the only appropriate and effective antidote to the year 2016.”
