It’s been just over a year since she married her long-term partner, Harry Wentworth-Stanley and now, Cressida Bonas has dropped a major hint the couple could be expecting their first child together.
This week the English actress and model, who dated Prince Harry from 2012 and 2014, posted a rather telling snap to her Instagram which sent the baby speculation into overdrive.
In the black-and-white photo, the 32-year-old can be seen perusing the children’s book section of a book store with what looks to be a growing baby bump, wrapped under a stylish checkered overcoat.
“The children’s section – a magical place and one of my favourite spots 💫 📖 📚 💫 ,” she tellingly captioned the suggestive snap, which was captured by her friend Ellen Francis.
Fans were quick to flood the comment section with speculation.
“Omg! If I’m not just imagining that that’s a bump, we’re very happy and excited for this beautiful family! 😍😍,” one person wrote.
“Are congratulations in order ❤️❤️❤️,” a second pondered.
“Forgive me for asking – but, are you dropping a subtle hint ?? Just wondered as you are in the children’s section. I love black and white pictures too,” another queried.
“Bebe a bordo,” another fan wrote in Spanish, which translates to baby on board.
Cressida and Prince Harry were first linked back in 2012 when Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie reportedly introduced them.
While they gave it a good shot, the pair split a few years later – reports claim Cressida grew uneasy about the pressures of being a royal family member.
Despite the split, the pair remain on good terms with Cressida attending Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
The Tulip Fever star wed property developer Harry Wentworth-Stanley in a small and intimate ceremony in West Sussex, England in July last year in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Covid regulations, the uncertainty, the plans that got turned upside down, all were gone when I took Harry’s hand,” the model revealed in an essay for The Spectator at the time.
“Before we knew we were having a ‘Covid wedding’, we’d talk about the party, the guest list, the cake, people’s expectations, what it should or shouldn’t look like. Having a small portion of Harry’s and my family in the church made it simply special.”
Woman’s Day have contacted Cressida’s rep for comment.
