Chinese tennis star, Li Na, has given birth to a healthy baby girl.
The 2014 Australian Open winner announced the news via her management company, IMG Tennis.
They tweeted, “Welcome to the world, baby Alisa!” and revealed the baby girl, named Alisa, was born at 2:25 am yesterday morning. They also shared a photograph of Li Na holding her baby girl alongside husband and former tennis coach, Dennis.
Alisa is the first child for the couple.
Na retired from competitive tennis last year due to a knee injury, however prior to this she was ranked number 2 in the world after winning the French Open in 2011 and the Australian Open in 2014.
