After following him on his quest for love in the Bachelor 2017 and seeing him fall head over heels for Laura, all of Australia has been collectively holding its breath for baby news from the loved-up duo.
Well, we did get indeed get baby news from one Matty J, just not the kind we were waiting for.
Matty J is an uncleagain, taking to Instagram to share a picture of himself holding his new niece, Millie Clifton.
The glowing Bachelor star looks down at the teeny newborn, clearly smitten.
The caption on the adorable images reads:
“Couldn’t be happier with my sister and brother-in-law to add this little bundle of joy to the family. Welcome to the world, Millie Clifton. You’re pretty bloody perfect.”
We’d have to agree on that last part.
Matty J, who is already an uncle to little George, the son of his older sister, Kate.
Speaking to OK! Matty gushed about his excitement on finding out about becoming an uncle a second time.
“I’m so excited to have another nephew or niece,” Matty said.
“I found out while I was filming! They’ve kept the sex a surprise this time around so I can’t wait to meet him/her.”
Matty has also been very open about his desire to become a father.
“I think I’ve always been good with kids,” He told OK!.
His sister agrees.
“Seeing him with George [Matty’s nephew] – he’d be a great dad,” she explained.
Guess we’ll just have to wait a little bit longer for this ex-Bachelor’s next big announcement.
