Cirque du Soleil’s OVO will premiere in Brisbane on July 14, before travelling to Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.

OVO, which means ‘egg’ in Portuguese, is the action-packed story of a group of incredible insects.

The story begins with the arrival of a mysterious egg, which sparks a flurry of colourful activity in the insect community.

Amidst this chaos, a new beetle arrives in town and instantly falls in love with an alluring ladybug — but does she feel the same way?

The cast of OVO is made up of 55 acrobats from 14 countries.

They perform dozens of gravity-defying moves, including the incredible ‘Flying Act’ which sees a horde of scarab beetles soar above the stage.

Since its world premiere in Canada in 2009, OVO has been seen by more than two million people in 15 cities in Canada, Mexico and the US.

Tickets to OVO go on sale on Monday, February 20. Click here for more information or to buy tickets.
