Christina, 34, shared photos of her ridiculously adorable newborn, Summer Rain, who she welcomed with fiancé Matt Rutler in August last year in People magazine.

Appearing on the cover, Christina said that after her new baby girl was born, “I was speechless,” the singer said.

Christina explained how she felt an instant connection to her newborn daughter:  “She was literally like an angel … We had an immediate calm bond, and I felt unexplainably connected to her and her spirit.”

Christina previously shared a first glimpse at little Summer crawling on the floor in January this year. The Instagram just showed the crawling bub from the rear wearing a nappy embroidered with the words “Lil Diva” in a clear indication that the six-month-old is already taking after her mum.

Summer’s taking after her mum in more than just diva tastes too – if the People cover is anything to go by, she’s also inherited Christina’s glowing good looks.

“Her smile lights up a room and I know it melts mama and daddy’s hearts,” says Christina.

She’s not wrong either – baby summer is heart-meltingly adorable! “She laughs a ton and is easy to make smile. She just wants to be where the action is!”

Christina already has one son, Max, 6, from her first marriage to husband  Jordan Bratman. The couple finalized their divorce in April 2011.

Christina shared this adorable snap of baby Summer last month.

Now smitten with her new beau Matt, 29, the pair announced their engagement a year ago on Valentine’s Day, before announcing a week later that they were expecting a child together. The pair met on set of her film Burlesque, where Matt was working as a production assistant.

With her hands full with a new baby and working as a judge on the US Voice, Christina explained though that she’s in no rush to get married. “I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date. Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love or commitment.”

She continued: “It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself. You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the centre focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.”

Christina says though that does mean that she already has parenting all figured out. “It’s hard to know you won’t have all the right answers at the right times. And ‘mum guilt’ is the worst thing ever,” she explained.

“But you have to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them, or wants what’s best for them more than you.”

Christina says that the bottom line is that Max and Summer will always come first!
