Chrissie Swan was overcome with joy and broke down in tears when she saw her children after six weeks in the jungle, revealing she can’t wait to take up motherhood again.

After competing on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here for a gruelling few months, that saw her shed over 15 kgs, Chrissie is relishing her time with husband Chris and her little ones, Leo, 6, Kit, 4 and Peggy, 23 months.

Camp site buddy Joel Creasey, 24, says he wouldn’t be surprised if “clucky” Chrissie, 41, has another child as she embarks on her celebration of motherhood.

“The jungle made her realise she loves the position she’s in,” Joel said. “She’s really excited about the year ahead and happy with the way her schedule has worked out.”

“She’s done this so she can have the year to be the brilliant mother she is. She’s got loads of holidays planned with the kids and is taking them overseas, which is something she couldn’t do when she was working in radio – she’s very pumped about that.”

Homesick Chrissie touched hearts around Australia, revealing just how much she missed her loved ones, telling campmates stories about her family.

“My bed’s beautiful at home because it’s filled with little children, which are my favourite thing,” she said.

When Chrissie received a letter from her son Leo, the proud mum couldn’t hold back her tears.

“You jumped into a river of crocodiles and met a hippopotamus!” he wrote. Hubby Chris teased, “I was sad you didn’t try eating the ostrich’s bottom.”

Now the show is over for her, Chrissie is overjoyed to spend every minute with her children.

“I’ve never even done school drop-off because I’ve been working,” she says. “I’m doing that this year and I can’t wait!

“It’s the first year in a long time I haven’t been locked into a job. This year will be just a bit of me being me!”
