With his rugged beard, piercing eyes and thick Aussie accent Chris Hemsworth is one of the nation’s most famous exports.
But in a new interview with Channel Seven’s Sunrise, the 32-year-old confessed fans often mistake him for his younger brother Liam Hemsworth, 26.
Presenter Edwina Bartholomew was lucky enough to spend a day with the father-of-three in LA recently and couldn’t help but ask: “Do people stop you in the street and say ‘Thor!'”
“Do they go Liam?” His The Huntsman: Winter’s War co-star Jessica Chastain added.
“They actually say Liam, I swear to God! They say ‘are you Liam?’ [I say] no. [They ask] ‘can you say hello to him for me.’ I’m like thanks!” Chris laughed.
But it doesn’t look like the handsome star is too phased and it’s clearly something Liam has to deal with too.

During his interview, the former Home and Away star also reflected on waiting for his big break in Hollywood.
“It was couching surfing. I stayed with all different people on their couches. I ended up staying with my manager in his guest house and was babysitting his kids between auditions,” he confessed.
When he finally landed a break-out role in Star Trek back in 2009, Chris told Edwina his life couldn’t be more further from the glamorous trappings his enjoys now.
“The reality of it was, I was changing nappies of kids that weren’t mine,” he said.
These days, Chris is successful enough to live permanently Down Under with his young family at Seven Mile beach in NSW. He simply flies back to LA for work when he needs to.
Over the weekend the Ghostbusters star treated fans to an idyllic snapshot of his relaxed Aussie lifestyle when he posted a shot of him and wife Elsa Pataky, daughter India, three, and two-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan soaking up the good vibes at Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
If that’s the trade off for being mistaken for your baby bro, then it’s not too shabby!
