In an interview with The Independent proud little brother Liam Hemsworth explained the incredibly touching gesture Chris made to his beloved parents, Craig and Leonie.
According to the 25-year-old Aussie, Chris called their dad and told him to check his bank account.
“He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: ‘I don’t know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I’d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared,’” The Hunger Games star revealed.
“They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us. I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that,” he added.
Now that Liam has also had his big and his parents are no longer in need of financial support, the actor has found another way to give back.
Miley Cyrus’ former fiancée is the ambassador for the Australian Childhood Foundation, a charity which assists young people facing trauma.
“If you want to be a good person who adds to society, you have responsibility,” he told the publication. “That is something I take very seriously.”
