Everyone knows the odd spat between a husband and wife is just part of life, even for one of Hollywood’s happiest couples. But Chris Hemsworth admits he’s at a distinct disadvantage when his diminutive wife Elsa Pataky’s temper flares.
When she’s angry, Elsa, who was born in Madrid, reverts to shouting at her hubby in Spanish.
Chris, 31, who shares three children with his wife of five years, reveals he’s taking lessons in her native language.
“My Spanish is horrible so I can’t understand when she’s angry with me,” he admits. “But at least I’ve learned a very important phrase, which helps calms things down – ‘Si, mi amore’ (yes my love).”
Chris recently said that their three-year-old daughter India already speaks fluent Spanish – and no doubt the couple’s one-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan will soon be giving their Daddy’s bi-lingual skills a run for their money soon too.
