Actor Chevy Chase has checked into a rehab facility.
His rep confirmed the rehabilitation stay at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Centre in Minnesota to Us Weekly.
According to his spokesperson, the National Lampoon’s Vacation star is seeking treatment at the centre for an alcohol-related issue.
The rep described the stay as a “tune up”, saying that the 72-year-old actor wanted to “be the best that he can be.”

This isn’t the first time the comedian has sought treatment at a rehabilitation centre.
Back in 1986 he entered treatment for an addiction to prescription pain killers.
At the time, his representative told media his addiction was a result of “chronic and long-term back problems” related to his ongoing slapstick pratfalls on Saturday Night Live.
“I was pretty low-level when it came to drug abuse,” Chevy revealed in an Esquire interview.
“I checked myself into the Betty Ford Clinic when my nose started to hurt,” he said.
