It’s no news that Prince Harry isn’t one to shy away from a drink or few, but it seems this young royal could be looking at making a career out of his favourite pastime.
While visiting the Maritime Inn in Devon with friends, the 29-year-old implied he would be keen to buy the chic little pub in the seaside town of Brixham after spending a few hours playing darts and drinking there.
Long-time owner of the bar, Pat Seddon, told Express UK she was honoured when the Queen’s grandson asked her how much she’d sell the pub for.
“Somebody from his group called out, ‘What a lovely pub,’ so I said, ‘You can have it if you want,’” Pat said.
“Then Prince Harry said, ‘How much?’ and I jokingly said, ‘£650,000,’ and he said, ‘Oh, I’ve got that in my pocket!’”
Known for his partying ways, Harry was said to have been on his best behaviour during the weekend-long getaway with 14 of his closest pals.
“They were well behaved – they enjoyed themselves – they were drinking beer and spirits,” Pat said.
The 75-year-old went on to say that she had to turn down cheeky Prince Harry’s offer to pay a couple of pounds for the pub, which boasts spectacular harbour views.
“It was lovely to see them,” Pat added.
