Later that evening, Celine made her emotional return to the stage – and let’s just say that there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

The Canadian-born star was touched by the Parisian crowd.

And she simply couldn’t contain her gratefulness.

The mother-of-three absolutely lit up the stage of the AccorHotels Arena in a polished black blazer atop an intricate lace top, completed by a pair of wide-legged trousers.

She performed a number of her countless hits in both English and French, but a heartfelt performance of Encore Un Soir – a single dedicated to her late husband Rene Angelil – moved members of the audience to tears.

The mini tour, that began in Belgium, supports her upcoming French studio album that will be available later this year.

Celine remained incredibly strong throughout the sold-out show, despite the pain of losing her 73-year-old soulmate to a long battle with throat cancer earlier this year.

Speaking out about his last days in an emotional interview with People, the songstress explained how she manages to cope day-by-day.

“Rene always insisted the show must go on.”

“You know what, I’m 48-years-old and I lost the love of my life. I miss him a lot from when he was great, but not when he was suffering. I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go.”

“I feel at peace.”

“René is the only man that I have known all my life. He always made me feel that we were always on our first date. Isn’t that amazing?”
