On Saturday night, Celine Dion lit up the stage of Caesar’s palace for her 1000th Vegas performance in thirteen wonderful years.
Thousands of fans packed out The Colosseum to see their idol in her element as she belted out a slew of new and classic tracks.
A statement released to the star’s Instagram page celebrated the momentous occasion beside a happy snap from the very moment the curtains fell.
“On March 25th, 2003, Celine performed her first of many concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Tonight, we are proud to celebrate her #1000th performance over 13 years!” it read.
It’s certainly been a long road to reach the four digit number for the blonde beauty.
Celine first kicked off her infamous residency, A New day, in March 2003. She wrapped that set four years later in December 2007.
After a three year hiatus which included a world tour among recording sessions for a new album, she returned to the City of Dreams for Celine.

Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing with the tragic death of her husband, René Angélil, earlier this year.
During Saturday night’s landmark performance, the mother-of-three called out to her late spouse, who she believed was right there on stage with her.
Weeping, the My Heart Will Go On songstress announced: “My wonderful dear husband is here tonight with us. I am so sure.”
Speaking out in a recent interview, the 48-year-old revealed, that despite the many years still ahead of her, she has no plans to fall in love again.
“I love him. I’m still in love with him,” she told CBS Sunday Morning of her beloved, who passed away in January of throat cancer.
When interviewer Mo Rocca asked if she hopes to find love with another man, Celine responded, “Not now. Unh-uh.”
“I have the love of my children. I have the love of my fans. I love the people that I work with. So my life is not empty of love,” she explained.
Using music as her strength, she breaks into song: “There’s a song from Sia, ‘I go to sleep and imagine that you’re there with me.’ And I go to bed with him. And I come on stage with him. And so… I’m still married to him.”
Celine and her manager Rene were married for 21 years before he finally lost his battle to the illness.
Speaking of those last few months, Celine recalls: “Before he left, it was very, very difficult for all of us.
“For me especially, and my children, to see the man of my life die a little bit more every day. And when he left, it was kind of a relief for me that the man that I love, the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved.”
Reacting to the shock of the interviewer at her confession, she quips: “Yeah. I never kissed another man in my life. So the man of my life was my partner, and we were one.
“So when he stopped suffering, I said to myself, he’s okay. And he deserves not to suffer.”
