Celebs from all over the world took to social media to show their support following the news of the senseless and horrific terror attack at Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, which killed 22 people and injured 59.
Although, some celebs have been criticised over their “insensitive” tweets.
First up, Geordie Shore star Scotty T posted a tweet that read: “Thoughts going out to all the victims and their families in Manchester right now and you @ArianaGrande #FancyACuddle.”
It didn’t take long before Twitter users hit back at Scotty, calling the tweet “insensitive” and even tweeted abuse his way.
Scotty, 29, has since deleted the tweet and spoken out, claiming that his account was hacked.
“Hi apologies to anyone offended last night. My Twitter was hacked. Anyone who follows me knows I would not tweet anything so disgusting,” he tweeted.
The reality star also responded to tweets revealing that he’s trying to find out who had access to the account, but some followers aren’t so convinced.
Then there’s Kim Kardashian West, who is facing backlash after she posted a picture of herself in tribute to the Manchester attack.
The reality star took to Instagram to share a throwback snap of herself with sister Kendall Jenner and Ariana Grande.
“I’m praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heart breaking,” she posted.
“I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids. Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose and have fun. It’s so scary to not feel safe in this world. My heart goes out to @arianagrande I love you.”

Despite her intentions, fans were upset that she chose to post a picture of herself calling it “selfish”. Although, many Kim lovers have come to her defense, arguing that the mum-of-two didn’t mean to cause offence.
Kim has since deleted the image from her Instagram account.
Other celebs have showed their support on social media without causing controversy, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Lorde.
