Ping Pong with a difference! In 2009, the ever charming Susan Sarandon opened her own restaurant called SPiN in Milwaukee, New York and Toronto. The actress sells it it as a “ping-pong social club” and the concept is thriving, with a newly-launched SPiN recently cropping up in San Fran.
He’s bringing fried goods back! Justin Timberlake teamed up with pals Eytan Sugarman and Trace Ayala to bring to life Southern Hospitality. The New York eatery promises authentic Memphis-style BBQ.

Truly moving: Shortly before Heath Ledge’s death in 2008, he was planning to open a bar with a group of friends in New York. Following his passing, his mates ensured his dreams could live on and they opened Five Leaves as a tribute to the star.

Part sports lounge, part fine dining, the swanky hang-out has the rapper’s touch all over it. “I love sports and wanted to create an environment that is conducive to match my lifestyle, while watching the games at the same time,” Jay Z has explained.
Here’s a fun one – did you know Britney Spears once dabbled in the hospitality business? In 2002, the pop princess was the brains behind Nyla. The New York joint embraced Brit’s Southern taste buds with meals like friend chicken, crab cakes and corn and chipotle mash. It eventually went belly up and the star stepped down as owner. “I wish the restaurant and its current ownership continued success,” she said at the time.
Before their split at the end of 2015, Aussie power couple Jodi and Braith Anasta’s passion project was The Boatshed in Sydney’s La Perouse. Sadly just like their relationship, the modern Australian food spot has gone bust.
