Catherine began her career at a young age starring in a number of musicals and West End shows. However, it was her role as Mariette in the successful British TV series The Darling Buds of May that first brought her to public attention.

Starring in the 1998 film, The Mask of Zorro where she played the character of Elena alongside Antonio Banderas and fellow Welsh compatriot Anthony Hopkins. For this role, she learnt dancing, riding, sword-fighting and took part in dialect classes.
