Cate Blanchett wins fourth Helpmann Award

The 45-year-old actress has continued her winning streak picking up her fourth Helpmann Award for best actress in a play.

The stunning 45-year-old, who is still in the US and couldn’t attend last night’s ceremony at the Capitol Theatre, won the prize for her role in the Sydney Theatre Company’s The Maids.

Her husband Andrew Upton told the Daily Telegraph on the red carpet at the Helpmann Awards that her work was “amazing”.

“I’m so proud of her,” he said.

The King and I won the coveted best musical, while Robyn Nevin won the Helpmann Award for best female actor in a supporting role in a play for her performance in Angels In America.
