Cate Blanchett always looks beautiful, but she looked particularly stunning in Sydney last night as she attended the premiere of her new film Blue Jasmine.
The 44-year-old actress donned a floor-length tangerine Roksanda Ilincic dress to walk the blue carpet at the Orpheum theatre in Cremorne.
The boldly-coloured gown accentuated Cate’s willowy figure and brought a rosy glow to her complexion, which looked even more flawless than usual.
Blue Jasmine, Cate’s first collaboration with iconic director Woody Allen, is already attracting Oscar buzz, something Cate was keen to play down last night.
“It’s nice, but what month are we in?” she told News Limited. “That’s shorthand for people saying they liked the character.”
The film sees Cate play New York socialite Jasmine, who has a nervous breakdown and goes to live with her sister Ginger.
Blue Jasmine will be in cinemas from September 12.
